  Demand Analysis ( Need / justification )
Gujarat has a population of over 13 million people. A large extend of damage has occurred in the area of Kutch and certain cities and towns of Gujarat as mentioned above. There was no communication available immediately after the disaster and Army, Telecom Department and other agencies had to work hard in order to establish links in absence of communication services.
Disaster Management by a portable equipment can transfer all the information data as well as images of the affected areas so that emergency help can be made available early. This kind of communication net work could be termed as "Information Superhighway". Apart from the data related emergency help and other requisite information, it is likely to be helpful in providing basic healthcare need during disaster or casualties and situation where need specialist advice, clinical data, EKG tracings, it could be transmitted centers like Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar online. This tele-communication will help the local Doctors and other help-rendering services to save as many people as one can. Thus  Disaster Management link is extremely efficient in providing immediate information, emergency care and healthcare.
